Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating reports that an 11-year-old girl was inappropriately touched on her bottom by 2 men on a residential street in Newport.

The incident is said to have occurred on Snowberry Road on Friday 24th August sometime between 16:30 and 17:00.

The youngster, who was also made subject to inappropriate comments, was not hurt and thankfully ran away.

Members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team have been regularly patrolling the area. If you have any concerns or saw anything suspicious then speak to one of these officers.

Hampshire Constabulary say they’ve not received any other similar reports in the area.

The victim has described the first man as: White,Aged in his forties, short blonde hair and he was wearing black glasses, a grey t-shirt and black trousers.

The second man is described as White, Aged in his forties with short brown hair and he was wearing a grey t-shirt and black trousers.
