HRH Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent visited East Cowes today (Thursday).
His Royal Highness paid a visit to the RNLI Inshore Lifeboat Centre on the banks of the River Medina – his second visit in the past 10 years, as well as opening an exhibition at Osborne House.
The Duke of Kent also unveiled a bicentennial bench for Victoria and Albert beside the Romanov memorial at Jubilee Recreation Ground. It is at the memorial that he was welcomed with a bunch of locally-sourced flowers, presented by 10-year-old Lotte Haig-Thomas.

Bicentennial celebrations marking 200 years since the births of both Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert are taking place in East Cowes over the long weekend.
