The long period of intense heat looks set to ease from tomorrow (Wednesday) according to local forecasters IW Met Service.
Today has been another very warm day across the Isle of Wight with temperatures reaching 28c widely. Tonight could well see some thundery showers and temps will fall to anywhere between 14-17c.
Islanders will be pleased to hear that tomorrow will be a much cooler, fresher day with sunny spells and broken cloud. There will be a noticeable difference in the temperature with 19-21c expected across the Island.
Some showery rain is likely at first on Thursday followed by brighter conditions later in the day. Friday will be bright with the odd shower possible, Saturday much the same.
Overall things will start to feel rather cool and fresh throughout with moderate or fresh breezes.
