Olly Fry’s one-man-show ‘I, HOOKY’ is heading to Wight Rock Bar in Ryde on Friday 28th April.
‘I HOOKY’ is an hour long, autobiographical showdown between Olly Fry and the maniacal pirate of J.M. Barrie’s creation… Captain James Hook.
This unlikely duo embark on a quest to find the elusive point where one leaves childhood behind and begins their journey into adulthood. Using Hook’s persona, Olly presents a piece that captures how one’s experiences as a child helps set the trajectory of their personal development.
Discussing the weight of expectations and the fears that one carries through life, Olly compares his own adolescence with that of Captain Hook’s to shed light on what it really means to grow up.
This show contains strong language, overdramatic death scenes and a surprisingly cute ending.
