One of the busiest roads on the Isle of Wight, between Ryde and Newport, is to be closed from 19:30 tonight (Friday) for resurfacing works.
High Street, Wootton will be closed from Wootton Bridge to Palmers Road from 19:30 until 06:00 tonight – at the start of the Half Term week – and then every weekday next week and the week after.
The closure is for the resurfacing of the carriageway.
Motorists are expected to be officially diverted via Sandown, Lake and Arreton, however The Downs and Havenstreet will remain open to local traffic.
