Islanders are being urged to attend a series of upcoming events in November and December to help shape the future of The Bay area of Sandown, Lake and Shanklin.
On Sunday 29th November from 14:00 until 16:00, The Bay Busking Session & Firepit Forum will be held at Morrisons in Lake.
As well as an acoustic set by musician Spike Oatley, the team will be collecting your ideas for how to make the Bay the best it can be.
On Saturday 12th December from 17:00-21:00, the campfires will be lit at Small Hope Beach, Shanklin for the The Campfire Sessions & Firepit Forum.
Listen to live music, cook up marshmallows and ideas, tell stories of bygone days and help shape a new future for the Bay. There’ll be live acoustic and original music plus other special winter specials including art with Hannah George-Makings, plus warming refreshments at the new Salix Cafe alongside.
Arc and Eccleston George will be there on behalf of the Bay CCT to collect your thoughts and aspirations, what you love about Sandown Bay and what you believe would make it even better. Live music from: Lewis Shepperd, Emma Wilkinson, Becky Rice, Paul Armfield
Towards the end of December, on Sunday 20th December at 10:30, a Christmas Beach Walk is being held at Yaverland.
Islanders are being invited to walk one of the Island’s most beautiful winter beaches as the tide falls. There’ll be hot chocolate by the chalky rockpools and fossil hunting too. The event is a chance also to the team your ideas and aspirations for the Bay and fill in your What If? postcard.
