Combative midfielder and dead-ball specialist Harrison Taylor has rejoined East Cowes Vics after a month’s spell with Newport IW FC. Last season, Harri picked up East Cowes Vics’ First Team Player of the season award. It is understood Taylor left Vics at the end of September because he was unhappy with the playing time he was getting at the club. However, the midfielder did not discover the grass to be greener at Port and has since decided to return to Vics. East Cowes Vics manager Alex Smith has said:
“After a very short spell with Newport (IW) Football Club, I’m pleased to announce the return of Harry Taylor to Vics. “Sometimes young men make rash decisions and, on this occasion, are strong enough to address and rectify them. “Following a brief but clear conversation with me, Harry has made clear his passion fore the club and his desire to work hard to regain his place as a key player in our squad. “I’m thoroughly looking forward to having a refreshed Harry back in the squad. He will be available after he completes his suspension, of which he has 1 game left to serve. “Please join me in giving Harry a very warm welcome back.”
Newport didn’t win a game with him in the side, then won a game when he trundled back to Vics.
And Vics looked a better team without him. More evidence Smith doesn’t know what he’s doing.
That’s why Vics are where they are and Newport are where they are.
Look at the form of both sides over the last month with his temporary swap.
The lad has quite a bit of skill with his feet but he needs to quicken up a bit in terms of running, he’s a bit too stationary, and against the quicker teams at the top of the division that costs games.
He might be better coming off the bench later in the game when other players are beginning to tire.
Makes you wonder why so many left Newport though doesn’t it ?
And how Newport and East Cowes have both attracted new players. Newport have signed more players than Vics this season. Most of Port departures went to Cowes, perfectly understandable they wanted to play in the division above.

the thing is he left and went to a struggling club with most probably no atmosphere as they have no ground or facilities, which is up to him. He found out the hard way and has returned to a club who have there own ground and have a great atmosphere. Good for him and i hope he enjoys his return.
They play at the same ground with the same facilities and a lot of people go see both teams and want to see both do well.
As I said, I think the manager should use him in short bursts.
To be honest, who gives a toss. This is a lousy player, a lousy manager, and a lousy team at a very low level. If you have never seen them play, go along and marvel at the low quality of players on show. Like your average school team (not a good one) and no better than that.
And I guess your a pro …. Seriously I’m surprised you have time to comment being a major player , makes me wonder why a so called low quality team would even be on the agenda of a football superstar . Bet there is clubs calling out for your input !

Harri Taylor is an excellent player, who can score at any time in the game. He is particularly good at free kicks and long range efforts. His signing was one of the reasons for Vics’ rise from the relegation positions to safety in the second half of last season.
Sadly, the actual statistics do not support this claim.
