The stunning views of Military Road and Freshwater Bay have been used as the backdrop for the filming of one of GQ Magazine’s Car of the Year 2018 finalists.
Film crews descended on the Isle of Wight yesterday (Friday) to film an Audi R8 V10 Spyder as it blasted up and down ‘Milly Road’, with fast flowing corners, long straights and crashing waves in the background making for a dramatic shoot.
The roar of the £120,000 supercar’s V10 engine could be heard for miles around and certainly got heads turning. The R8 can reach speeds of up to 200mph – just a smidge over the 60mph speed limit.
A break in filming allowed for Esplanade to capture these photographs of the high performance vehicle in all its glory.
