Supermarket giant Asda has slashed the price of fuel today (Tuesday) in reaction to falling oil prices.
It’s good news for Isle of Wight motorists as Asda has cut 2p a litre off petrol and diesel meaning you will pay no more than 114.7p for unleaded and 116.7p for diesel.
Other petrol stations such as Morrisons and Tescos are likely to follow suit after yesterday’s news that the price of a barrel of oil dropped by some 30%.
Fuel is now at its lowest cost since November 2017.

2p off per litre, this is going make such a difference thank you Asda

IE If it has been cut by 2p a litre why are you telling us they will charge more than 114.7p, maybe the editors hould have proof read this before going to print
Notice you have now amended the original wording which i copied and pasted in my original comment, an apology to readers would be nice to along with a thank you for pointing it out to you.
It’s called a “typo”! Most people will realise that and not get on their high horse!
Get it right, a typo is a spelling or grammar mistake this was a failing on putting a crucial word in so as not to confuse people sorry you couldnt grasp that.
Hurrah keep the old V8 happy .
What to do with all that extra money saved
How do the Gulf and Texaco Petrol stations on the Island survive? 128.9p for unleaded. 114.7 at Asda. Why would anyone go to there?
A 2% decrease is a “slash” is it…
Price of a barrel down by 30%, we get 2p off mmmm
