The Isle of Wight enjoyed Summer-like temperatures today (Friday) with the mercury hitting a staggering 27c in Newport, Ryde and Lake.
Wall-to-wall sunshine was experienced across the garden Isle with tourists and Islanders flooding into the countryside and to the coast to make the most of the long Bank Holiday weekend.
Local forecasters IW Met Service recorded 27c at Smallbrook in Ryde, as well as at Lake, Newchurch and Newport. Cowes saw 26c.
Saturday is expected to be another glorious and potentially hotter day with unbroken sunshine throughout the day and feeling warm away from the coasts.
The sunshine will remain with us throughout the Bank Holiday before some clouds move in on Tuesday.
