The girls over at Wight Wahines are putting on a movie night at Niton Old School Cinema next Saturday (23rd October).
The movie that is being showcased is called ‘Girls Can’t Surf’ and shows how a group of renegade surfers challenge the male-dominated professional surfing world for the shared goal of equality and change.
Created earlier this year, Wight Wahines was the Isle of Wight’s first women’s surf competition showcasing the thriving female surf scene here on the Island.
All proceeds from the movie night are to be donated to Freshwater Skatepark.
The event is being held on 23rd October with doors opening at 19:00, tickets are £6 and are only available at the door.
