A fundraiser to support Wight Horse CIC in providing free horse riding and stable management activities for children and young adults on the Island will be held this Easter.
GG’s Bar, Restaurant and Arena at the Island Riding Centre will play host to a bumper general knowledge quiz on 21st April 2023 at 19:30 to raise funds for their non-profit Wight Horse Community Interest Company.
As well as the quiz, there will also be a disco and a silent auction with incredible prizes including tickets for England v Fiji rugby and Badminton Horse Trials.
Over the last 5 years, Wight Horse CIC has worked with various organisations in providing activities for children and young adults including Connect4Communities, The Holt, Tidal Family Support, The Issoropia Foundation and Barnardos.
Paul Buckner of the Island Riding Centre has said:
“With support from grants, donations and our volunteer run Bit on the Side Café and by subsiding the activities directly ourselves we have got to where we are but we have huge demand and want to continue and grow these sessions so that more can benefit.”
The entrance fee is £5 per person, which includes 2 free raffle tickets. Quiz teams of up to 6 people should be booked in advance through their website. You can also support them by donating a raffle or auction prize.
