Ryde Business Association has teamed up with voluntary group Friends of Appley to put on a host of events for the whole family in Appley Park this October half term.
Designed to encourage the community to get out during the school holidays, the events are for all ages.
Thanks to grant funding from Ryde Town Council, there is something on every day from the 21st October to the 29th October. Activities range from art workshops to guided walks, yoga, Tai Chi and even a children’s cooking class.
There’s a litter pick on Saturday 21st October, and on the 29th October Ryde Harriers are hosting a kids fun run and Ryde Inshore Rescue will be open to the public. Some of the events are free and some ask for a small donation to Friends of Appley/Ryde Business Association. The final event of the Appley Sessions is a pub quiz at Ryde Rowing Club on the 1st November.

“Appley is a much loved are of Ryde. We want to encourage people into the park to make the most of our beautiful local surroundings and support local park businesses at the same time.”
The Appley Sessions will also be running a photography competition over the half term period using the #RydeFrame that was installed in the park in 2017 by Gift to Nature. Prizes include a meal for 2 at Three Buoys and a tree climb for 2 at Goodleaf Tree Climbing.
