The Garlic Festival is set to return for its 35th year in August, with an expanded food theatre kitchen and the return of Titan the Robot.

Organisers of the summer event have revealed that The Great British Bake Off’s Jane Beedle will be starring in the food theatre alongside BBC star chef and best-selling author, Valentine Warner. Both famous faces will be demonstrating favourite recipes, signing books, chatting and maybe even posing for a selfie. They are to be supported all weekend by an array of local foodies and talented chefs.

As always, The Garlic Festival arena will feature non-stop live entertainment and this year will include the return of The Vander Brothers’ space wheel. These acrobats delight and amaze as they walk on the outside of the human hamster wheel at death defying height.

Their top 10 hits include; Reflections of my life, Falling apart at the seams and the number one smash, OB LA DI OB LA DA! As part of their nationwide tour, organisers have also secured the only Island date for The Quo Experience and as ever the best of the Island’s local talent will be supporting, including Derek Sandy.

After a 3 year absence, Titan The Robot will be appearing over the weekend. Once seen, never forgotten.
