Norris Family Grocers on Newport Road has served the Isle Of Wight since 1887 and they are inviting everyone to enjoy freebies, face painting and a raffle on Saturday 28th March.
The former Londis store has been trading for five generations and their historical background will be retained even more so by joining Nisa, the leading independent retailer.
Now the store will participate in Nisa’s charity called Making A Difference Locally, which means when specific products are bought, a percentage goes into a virtual fund to donate to ultra-local charities or good causes.
Co-owner Wayne Norris said:
“We have a strong commitment to serving Niton and joining Nisa will enable us to offer an even better service including the most extensive range and best promotions on the island, as well as giving back to the community through the Making A Difference Locally charity.
“The fun day from 10am will have lots going on for the whole family. There will also be the chance for customers to take home a Nisa goody bag full of delicious own-label Heritage products and the chance to win fantastic raffle prizes. Our customers are very important to us after supporting our shop for many years, so it’s fantastic we can celebrate with them.”
The newly modernised store which is famous for offering a wide range of locally sourced Isle of Wight produce, has a refreshed new look including brand new signage outside and window graphics depicting local scenes including St Catherine’s Lighthouse and the Pepper Pot.
The fun day takes place Saturday 28th March at 10:00. The store is open 07:30 to 21:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 to 21:00 on Sunday.
