This Friday 11th July) sees the return of the Freelancers’ Friday Night Out at Ventnor Arts Club.
A social and informal networking event, the evening is aimed at the creative and independent homeworkers on the Island who are increasing in number every month. The event kicks off at 19:00 and by 21:00 moves into another groove with Jazz masters Jim Thorn & Jon Thorne playing on into the late hours.
Jim Thorn is the main man behind the Newport Jazz Weekend and this is an opportunity to appreciate his music in a relaxed and intimate venue before the big event a week later.
On Saturday, the musical genre focuses on the blues and American folk from those extremely talented boys from Beeno: surely one of the hardest gigging bands on the Island. Like Jim Thorn, they have became regular performers at the Ventnor Arts Club and have helped to keep up the quality of live music along with the visiting talent from the mainland and beyond.

Two nights of quality music, wine, cocktails and relaxed socialising awaits. The bar is open from 19:00, live music begins at 21:00.
