2 published Isle of Wight writers will discuss their own experiences and offer tips from lessons they have learned along the road to publication at this free event in Cowes on Friday 26th May.
If you’ve ever thought about writing a book or are curious about the process, then this workshop will explore how to go about it and what to expect when you are ready to publish.
It will be presented by Felicity Fair-Thompson, author of Grandpa’s Dear Old Girl and Julie Watson, author of Travel Takeaways: Around the World in Forty Tales and it will include short readings from both authors’ recently published work. One is a children’s novel and the other a nonfiction travel memoir.
There will also be time for audience questions and a wider discussion about how to create a good writing environment. The session should be of interest to anyone considering writing a book as well as those interested in learning more about the publication process.
The event will take place between 19:00 and 20:30 on Friday 26th May at Cowes library and refreshments will be included.
