A free event is being held in Newport tomorrow (Tuesday) for anyone that would like to learn more about their GP practice and get involved.
Patient Participation Groups are linked to a local GP practice and are led by patients. The group provides the practice with feedback on healthcare services and are a great way of improving communication between GP practices and the public, helping the surgery make improvements.
This is a great opportunity for people to get more involved with their local GP practice.
The event is being held at the Riverside Centre tomorrow (Tuesday 25th September) from 09:30 (09:00 tea and biscuits) until 13:30.
At this event, you can meet key members of the IOW Clinical Commissioning Group, the IOW NHS Trust and the Policy and Scrutiny Committee for Adult Social Care and Health. You can also talk to members of other PPG’s to hear about their ideas and experiences.
Anyone interested in finding out about PPG’s is welcome.
Healthwatch Isle of Wight is the local consumer champion for health and social care and works to ensure that local services put the experiences of people at the heart of their care.
Whilst booking is not essential, it would be helpful to get an idea of numbers. Email [email protected] for more information.
