Newport midfielder Jordan Chapman has returned to his former club East Cowes Vics after a 5-month spell at County Town club.
Jordan joined the Port after the departure of former manager Richard Woodburn from Vics before Christmas of last year. He has made 21 appearances for Newport – including 10 starts – scoring 3 goals.
Chapman made over 150 appearances for Vics during his previous spell at the East Cowes club.
Vics manager Alex Smith has said:
“I’m thrilled to have Jordan back at the club. When he decided to move on in December, he left on great terms and was clear about his ambitions. He’s an honest and bright lad and exactly the type of character I want to be working with.
“It’s often our choices and journeys which shape us, and he rejoins us with a new experience under his belt which can only be a positive. I’m really looking forward to getting work, and I know he is too.”
Jordan Chapman told Island Echo:
“I’m happy to be back with Vics and I’m looking forward to working with Alex. There’s been a number of positive changes in and around the club lately, and I’m excited to be a part of it and see what’s to come.”
