There’s another great weekend of music ahead at Ventnor Arts Club and the good weather is set to stick around.
Last week French Band ‘Jane for Tea’ left Ventnor delighted, amazed and, especially for those that couldn’t get tickets for the sold out performances, hoping for a return visit. This week we move into a different vibe.
On Friday Jonny Michael returns to the club to play his own material, a few covers thrown in for fun and introduces a guest to spice up the evening.
Jonny has said:
“I’m going to play the second set with a friend of mine Seb Godsmark. He plays steel guitar and mandolin and will add interest and variety to the night. We’re really looking forward to it”
If you like the blues, then Saturday is a must. Dan and Andy are ‘Beeno’, a hardworking, hard gigging duo who over the last year have played monthly at the club and developed a great repertoire of blues tunes. They are highly skilled guitarists and deliver slide, picking and riffs with great precision. They’re a tight act and their vocals are laid back and very smooth. They too are bringing a guest. Guitarist Clive Thomas is making the trip and will add a country folk / blues style to the mix.
On both nights the bar opens at 19:00 and acts step up for their first set at 21:00. All are welcome. Members and their guests are free and non-members are just £3.
