The Rotary Club of Ryde is holding a Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday (5th November) at Smallbrook Stadium.

Gates open at 18:00 and there will be ample car parking for all who wish to attend. The fireworks will be run by Titanium Fireworks, one of the largest operations in the UK, and they are confident that this will be the safest, biggest and best display on the island.

The evening of family fun will start with DJ Mick Weston and children’s entertainer Stevo the Magician, followed by the very popular Bloodstone Border Morris Dancers and Wight Diamonds Marching Band. The firework display will commence at about 20:00 with the countdown by The Mayor of Ryde, Henry Adams.

The bar operated by Smallbrook Stadium and the BBQ run by Ryde Rotary will both commence at 18:00 and continue after the fireworks with more music from DJ Mick Weston.

The entrance fee is £5 per person and, all of these funds, together with the profits from the BBQ will go to Ryde Rotary Club and be donated to local charities and good causes.

Ryde Rotary President, Alan Truckel, said:

“This represents excellent value for a fantastic evening’s entertainment in a safe environment and we hope to make it an annual event”.
