There is less than 2 weeks to go until the much-anticipated ‘A Wight (Brainy Bunch) Christmas Market’ returns to Ryde Community Fire Station.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, organising charity The Wight Brainy Bunch will once again be welcoming visitors of all ages to the unique Christmas event at Nicholson Road on Saturday 1st December 2018, between 10:00-16:00.
You can expect a wonderful array of seasonal stalls and entertainment, as the market welcomes back the Wight Diamonds Marching Band, Cantobelle and Vectis Corps of Drums Marching Band.
There will be plenty of festive refreshments available including a traditional BBQ and hog roast, mulled wine, German beer, luxury hot chocolate, mince pies and other sweet treats.
The kids will sure to be entertained by the inflatable snow globe and naughty elves are busy preparing the ‘Elf Workshop’, where the little ones can enjoy a range of craft activities and face painting. There will of course be a Santa’s Grotto too!
The Wight Brainy Bunch Christmas Market is fun for all the family and will be followed at 16:00 by the switching on of Ryde Fire Station’s Christmas lights, which shine brightly over the town from the top of the training tower each year.
Those looking to purchase the 2019 ‘Red Hot Heroes’ firefighter charity calendar, which is once again sponsored by Island Echo and in aid of Wight Brainy Bunch, will be able to do so at the event.

Wight Brainy Bunch was set up by Ryde firefighter Mark Grimes and his wife Kathryn following Mark’s diagnosis of a brain tumour in February 2015. The charity provides emotional support and financial assistance to families here on the Isle of Wight whose lives have been affected by the devastating effects of brain tumours.
