Following on from the huge success of last year’s event, local charity Daisy Chains IW will once again be hosting ‘Festival of Heroes’ this summer.
Over 4,000 people attended the inaugural event in 2016, which saw the largest gathering of characters in any one place on the Island. Visitors enjoyed acts such as Britain’s Got Talent’s Boogie Storm alongside many local entertainers and characters such as Superman, Power Rangers, Elsa and Jack Sparrow, to name a few. The Transformers even paid a visit to the event.
Festival of Heroes will be held at Brading Roman Villa near Sandown on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July, where it is hoped even more heroes will assemble to entertain Island families.
Daisy Chains IW was founded in 2012 by 2 Island parents, both of whom have children that have been affected by long term sickness or disability. The charity has grown and now helps those parents who are unable to access the equipment, transport and therapies needed to help their children progress.
Stall holders and sideshows interested in showcasing at the 2-day event are being invited to get in touch by emailing [email protected].
