FAN FAVOURITE MARTIN KEMP WILL STILL APPEAR AT JACK UP THE 80S

Despite landing a leading role in the musical ‘Chicago’ and cancelling a number of commitments across the country, Martin Kemp will still be appearing at this year’s Jack up the 80s.

Martin has proven to be a very popular addition to the JUT80s line-up for 2018 following the announcement that he will be performing an exclusive DJ set. However, the West End appearance means that there has been some shuffling around of the running order.

The Spandau Ballet frontman and former Eastenders actor will now be appearing on the Sunday of the event, not Saturday as originally announced. With 2 performances scheduled in on the West End stage for Saturday 11th August, moving the DJ set to Sunday has been the only option.

Organisers have gone above and beyond to ensure the Island audience are not let down.

Event Manager Sarah Moss said:

“Martin has proven to be a very popular edition to this this year’s Jack Up The 80s line-up and as such we couldn’t bear the thought of audiences feeling let down.

“With just three weeks left to go we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to revise the weekend’s running order, rebook hotel accommodation and ferry travel to ensure that Martin’s hotly anticipated one-off exclusive DJ set goes ahead as planned in spite of his more recent undertaking starring in a leading role in London’s West End.

“Special thanks to Phats & Small who have generously rescheduled their itinerary for the weekend to swap dates enabling Martin to appear on the Sunday instead.

“As an event organiser it’s soul destroying when things happen that are completely outside of your control, however in this instance I’m delighted that we have been able to recover the situation to ensure that the original commitment is duly honoured.”

Phats & Small will now appear early evening on Saturday 11th August with Martin Kemp taking to the decks mid afternoon on Sunday 12th.

Tickets are available to purchase from www.jackupthe80s.co.uk.
