The Island-born creator of iconic British TV comedy “Some Mothers do ‘ave ’em” will be sharing his stories of his life in showbusinesses at an event in Newport this month.
Ray Allen, who was born and lives in Ryde, will be at Newport’s Lord Louis Library on Thursday 23rd April from 19:30.
Ray will also talk about his career as a comedy writer and life on the Island, including the many local characters he has come across over the years.
Tickets for the event are free, but anyone wanting to come along should call (01983) 527655 to request them and pick them up prior to the evening as numbers are limited.
The evening will also include a raffle, comedy quiz and light refreshments.
