The Camerata Chamber Choir are to present a free evening of sacred music at Quarr Abbey near Ryde next Sunday (19th June).
The event will be the choir’s first performance at Quarr Abbey, a building of massive and majestic solemnity and a brilliant example of twentieth century expressionism in architecture.
Lasting one hour from 18:00 until 19:00, this free concert is a wonderful opportunity to hear the Island’s multi award winning chamber choir performing a varied program including music by Palestrina, Thomas Tallis and Bach, specifically chosen to highlight the choir’s unique, pure, melodious vocal sound.
There will be a retiring collection for the Abbey Restoration Fund.
