ENAMEL SIGNS WORTH OVER £2,500 STOLEN FROM ROOKLEY

Investigations are taking place to establish the whereabouts of 11 enamel signs after they were stolen from a garden in Rookley.

Vincent Faithfull’s collection disappeared from his property on Main Road, Rookley earlier this week. It comes just a short while after a motorcycle and tools were taken from his storage unit at Vincent’s Motorcycles and Antiques in Merstone.

Mr Faithfull reckons it would have taken the thief or thieves up to 45 minutes to unscrew and take down the signs before moving them into a vehicle. The suspects would have parked on the driveway or parked outside the front gate on the main road itself.

Due to the prominent location of the property it is hoped that someone saw the signs being removed and can therefore help with Police enquiries.

The retro signs are said to be fairly big and heavy but of varying shapes and sizes. Photos of some of the signs can be found below.

Anyone with any information that can help identify the suspects or the whereabouts of the missing items should call Police on 101, quoting 44180346227. Information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
