Ventnor captain Emerson Tattersall scored 4 times as Ventnor blasted 8 goals past Osborne Coburg at Watcombe Bottom on Saturday (11th January).
Last week, Ventnor knocked W&B out of the Isle of Wight Senior (Gold) Cup on penalties at the quarter final stage. Yesterday, Ventnor leapfrogged W&B at the top of Harwoods Division 1.
Tattersall netted in the 8th, 52nd, 64th and 86th minutes. He has now scored an incredible total of 32 goals in just 14 games for the South Wight side.
Charlie Urry also scored in the 14th and 59th minutes to bring his total to 14 from 14 games. Euan Sargent and Neo Lamb were also on target for Ventnor. Jack Barsdell was given the man-of-the-match accolade.

Ventnor’s victory puts the South Wight side 2 points ahead of unbeaten W&B with 30 points from 12 games, but Whitecroft & Barton have 2 games in hand.
Northwood SJ 4-1 Cowes Sports Reserves
In the only other game to be played in Harwoods Division 1, Northwood overcame Cowes Sports Reserves in the Cowes derby at the Isle of Wight Community Club. Lewis Blackmore, Aarun Ince and Bertie Watson were on target for Northwood, with the Yachtsmen also conceding an own goal. Northwood’s win sees them rise 2 places to 7th in the Division 1 table.

Dan Robjant bagged 4 goals with Kyle Kilroy, Chris Dibsdale, Joe Jackman and John Robjant also on target as High Park knocked 8 goals past Ryde Saints at Seaclose. High Park’s win leaves them 5 points clear of ECS at the top of Harwoods Division 2.

Niton Community 1-4 Sandown & Lake
Substitute Eddie Johnson bagged a brace with George Johnson and James Ashley also on the scoresheet as 3rd-placed Sandown overcame Niton.
Pan Community 1-8 Oakfield
The Oakers blasted 8 goals past Pan at Clatterford Rec. The scorers for Oakfield were Ben Gardner (X3), Nathan Roberts, Tyler Larbalestier, Olly Hammond, Jake Symes, and Jay Larbalestier.
Seaview 2-1 Newport Reserves
Seaview escaped their bottom-of-the-table position by beating 10-man Newport Reserves thanks to an own goal and a late strike by Edward Marsden to record their 1st win of the season.

Vectis and Whitecroft & Barton Sports both had their cup fixtures on the mainland postponed due to the poor state of pitches. West Wight failed in their bid to reach the last 8 of the Hampshire Trophy, going down 0-3 to Locks Heath at Camp Road. Brading were beaten 1-3 by Harvest at Cowes Enterprise College.
In the Hampshire Vase, Oakfield Reserves were beaten 1-4 by Solent at Slade Road.
