Upcoming artist Emellia has released the music video for her second single ‘Run’ – and it was filmed in Ventnor!
‘Run’ is a contrasting single to the Binstead singer’s debut single ‘Authority’, showing the true colours of darkness that a relationship can have. Run was originally released in April 2019 but has now been re-released to coincide with the launch of the new music video.
Talking about the single, Emellia says:
“I released this single in 2019, however, I decided that if I wanted to become a professional solo artist, I needed to rerelease this single. I loved everything about the song, however, there were little parts, such as the artwork, that I felt just didn’t do the song justice.
“I wrote the song as an onlooker of the relationship of somebody very close to me… You treat the person you love with respect, kindness and love and when that is not something that is returned to you, it can be super difficult to deal with. ‘Run’ is the unknown decision of whether or not to stay with this person that you cherish, or leaving to become the best version of yourself”.
The music video was filmed at East Dene in Ventnor by Alex Warren from AlexsLens Video Productions.
Emellia adds:
“I could not be happier with the outcome of this music video because of the help and support from the East Dene team throughout the process! We also worked with Honey Bees and Roses Events team, who provided all of the gorgeous equipment that can be seen in all of the scenes – again I could not recommend this events team enough; without their last-minute help we would not have created such a gorgeous video!
