A planning application to build 7 homes on the site of the Isle of Wight’s Driving Test Centre has been submitted to the Isle of Wight Council.
PSP Isle of Wight LLP are wanting to build a total of 7 4-bedroom properties on the land at Medina Avenue, Newport. Each property would cover 3 floors and boast a garden and 1 parking space.
It is currently unclear what the future holds for the Driver Standards Agency (DSA) test centre, which would have to re-locate under the proposed plans. It has operated from Medina Avenue since the 1980’s. Island Echo has approached the DSA for a statement.
Local residents can have their say on the plans until 11th August at https://www.iwight.com/planning/AppDetails3.aspx?frmId=32948.
