The driver of a Nissan Almera Tino had an unexpected surprise when he was pulled over by Police in Ryde this morning (Tuesday).
Officers stopped the vehicle on Victoria Street and discovered that it did not have any valid tax.
Further checks were carried out and it was discovered that the driver’s licence had expired in October 2017.
Police have taken to opportunity to issue a reminder to all drivers to check point 4b on their photocard.
The vehicle was seized and recovered by a local agent.

So the driver was over 70 then
If you check section 4b of your licence conditions, you will see that it requires the photo to be renewed at regular intervals to maintain a valid driving licence. Nothing to do with the age of the driver.
