Police reeled in more than they had bargained for when they stopped a car driven by a fisherman on the Isle of Wight last night (Sunday).
The Citroen C3 cabriolet was pulled up on the main Cowes to Newport road at Horsebridge Hill after the vehicle aroused the suspicions of officers.
Enquiries carried out at the roadside determined that the driver did not hold a full driving licence. Furthermore, the vehicle was uninsured, untaxed and did not have a valid MOT certificate.
The night had already got off to a bad start for the driver as he failed to catch any fish on his late-night trip.
