UPDATE: (12:00) All Wessex League games and all but 2 games featuring Island league teams have fallen victim to the weather.
There is a full list of Wessex and Island League fixtures this Saturday, however, with heavy rain forecast for Saturday morning, postponements are likely.
In the Wessex Premier, Cowes Sports have their 1st home fixture for over a month at Westwood Park against Shaftesbury.
Assistant manager Andy Brown says:
“Again, frustrating not to play midweek vs Portchester and the forecast is not looking hopeful for Saturday’s home fixture vs Shaftesbury.
“We have organised some indoor sessions to try maintain fitness with heavy downpours; however, school sports halls are also now not available due to mock exams, adding to the challenge. We all hope to get a game soon, either at home vs Shaftesbury and or Fareham plus get the valuable three points we need to push us up the table!
In Wessex Division 1, promotion hopefuls Newport have a home game at Smallbrook against Romsey Town (weather permitting). 3rd-from-bottom East Cowes Vics travel to Wiltshire for a relegation 6-pointer against 2nd-from-bottom Amesbury Town.
