An appeal has been issued by a member of the public after their 2 dogs became ill within an hour of being walked in the countryside on the outskirts of Nettlestone, near Bullen.
The individual claims that the dogs both became agitated and exhibited head twitching, loss of coordination, and urinary incontinence. One dog is said to have ‘vomited up’ a human poo.
According to the appeal made by the dog-walker, the other clinical signs shown by the hounds – including dilated pupils and a slow heart rate – are consistent with cannabis toxicity.
It’s believed by the owner that someone who had ingested cannabis went on to deposit their feces in public, which the dogs then ate, causing them to experience adverse effects.
They said:
“The only reasonable conclusion is that someone is depositing human waste in open countryside.
“Apart from being a danger to dogs, this is also a public health issue. Please, everyone, be very careful in that area.”

Just the same as dog poop all over the pavements is a health risk to everyone so pick it up
How did he know it was human? Surely they could have picked it up through other sources? Also if it was vomited up there wouldn’t be much in their system? However it m glad the dogs are recovering.

You know canna isn’t poisonous to dogs, some people give dogs cbd. It needs to be heated to become thc which still isnt poisonous

Their are thousands of poisonous plants on the island, may I suggest the dog owner was most likely high as a kite, probably tripping on mushrooms them self’s going on a midnight rompastompa, gurning, hallucinating walking around the woods topless, the dogs were probably at home asleep
Dogs can fit for many other reasons than this. Maybe take them to the vets to get the checked. Maybe an undiagnosed condition. Remember, correlation does not imply causation.
Or somebody could of got caught out went for a crap ..happened to drop his weed tin whilst squating then after leaving one dog ate his poo the other ate his tin ?
It’s a million to 1 this guy had an edible then got caught out …and 2 gogs just happened to eat it.
Also these symptoms could be consistent with alot of things only a blood test should lead to such an article it’s all hear say.
