Decadeance – which began in 2009 as a one-off party to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tony Martin’s DJing – is hoping to break the £100,000 barrier for money raised for Mountbatten this year. The 1st party was popular and raised over £5,000 for Earl Mountbatten Hospice, as was. Party-goers said it had to be done again, and it was. Now in its 15th year, Deceadance has raised £93,000 to date. Tony Martin – curator and DJ of Decadeance, says:
“This year’s event is on 11th November and we want to make it through the £100,000 – and fitting that it is on Remembrance Day with a theme of Icons and Legends who we have lost in life. “Come and support Mountbatten and dance the night away on our huge dancefloor.”
Decadeance will be held at Cowes Yacht Haven on Saturday (11th November). The event includes fully stocked bars plus a selection of BBQ and speciality gyros. Those attending the event will have the opportunity to win prizes at the casino and take part in the famous hourly decadent draw. Tickets – costing £20 – are still available to purchase from all outlets on the poster or can be ordered from [email protected].
