DAME JUDI ENJOYS EDDIE IZZARD’S SHOW AT SHANKLIN THEATRE

Acting royalty was present at Shanklin Theatre last night (Sunday) when Dame Judi Dench visited to enjoy a sold-out performance by funny man and co-star, Eddie Izzard.

Dame Judi, 81, who has starred in the likes of James Bond and As Time Goes By, is currently filming at Osborne House in East Cowes for a new film entitled ‘Victoria and Abdul’. It is thought comedian and actor Eddie Izzard is also starring in the new drama as Bertie, The Prince of Wales.

54-year-old Izzard – who is best known for his stand up comedy; his role in the Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen films and his charity fundraising – took time out of his busy filming schedule this weekend to perform his new show ‘Force Majeure: Reloaded’, inviting his fellow cast members along.

Dame Judi is said to have been sat on the front row of the balcony section alongside other members of the Victoria & Abdul cast, including Olivia Williams.
