A Newport family are appealing for witnesses to an apparent crash in Newport yesterday (Sunday) to come forward.
Ben Parker went to get into his Nissan Pixo yesterday afternoon when he realised it had been damaged beyond use, with part of the wheel folded in half.
It is thought the collision, on Trafalgar Road, took place at around 07:30.
The incident has come at a bad time for the O’Brien’s as they are getting married in less than 2 weeks’ time.
Ben’s partner Em O’Brien has taken to social media to say:
“If anyone knows anything about this please please do contact us [here]. I want a explanation, an apology and at best the payment for the damage that has been caused.
“Someone has to know something about It. Either they know someone with a damaged vehicle that could have caused this or witnessed something.
“If the person who is responsible sees this, it would be in your best interest to contact either myself or Ben to explain and we can go from there. I personally think it’s a cowardly move to drive away after causing such damage”.
The family can be contacted through Facebook here.
