UPDATE WEDNESDAY @ 11:25 – The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed that 1Leisure are freezing all One card memberships paid by Direct Debit.
“1Leisure are freezing all One card memberships paid by Direct Debit from today (Wednesday), including all swimming lesson payments
“There is no need to contact our teams at this time and please do not cancel the Direct Debit at your bank.”

Can we get our money back for tickets bought for the cancelled shows?
Will we get refunded our gold member ships or silver for the time it’s going to be closed? Or something else??
I imagine they will pause/suspend direct debits until reopening and any prepaid weeks or months will be extended to when it’s re-opened or you are able to return. Awaiting the official line, but they are usually really good in that respect, especially as its ‘their’ decision/need to close
Libraries still open!! Just heard the virus can live on cardboard and paper for 72 hours!! IWCouncil think again and quick please!
Guess you work there…off full pay nice…
But the libraries remain open. Bet the bosses won’t work on the desk
Up goes the council tax next year then. Someone has to pay for joey’s days out with a couple of smoking paid helpers’
I believe Society is 65% dead with all the I’m all right jack attitude filled with panic buyers that have more than they need leaving others with little or nothing. How can people be expected to send there children to school when the local council have shut all leisure centres even McDonald’s have a take away only set up. And local businesses largely affected. When you walk out of your front door and you realise the world is not the same you have to ask why.
Good old boris Johnson a safe PM I believe he Wouldn’t even start a war without reason but time to grow a pair of balls and Shut the schools if society is alive friends and family can help keep children safeguarded and the great workers that wish to continue in there jobs will be supported buy friends and family and will be continued to be respected and appreciated by the sensible respectful people of society.
Sod the education welfare The local council and the government I WILL DECIDE WHAT’S RIGHT FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.
