Aspire Ryde is calling on the local community to help spruce up the charity’s building during a ‘DIY SOS’ style challenge weekend between Friday 23rd and Monday 26th June.
After 3 years of partially developing the building to provide a variety of services, Aspire has seen thousands of people through the doors which, of course, has caused some wear and tear upon the place.
The Aspire team are hoping to harness the amazing support from the local community to improve the building so that they can keep focus on helping the most vulnerable in society, such as the homeless and the elderly.
Work that requires doing includes removing partition walls; installing electrics; running cables; joinery; roofing; general repairs; moving furniture; gardening and more.
