Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for witnesses following the theft of commemorative coins worth thousands of pounds from a house in Chale.
Hampshire Constabulary are investigating the burglary which happened in Westside Lane, Chale at some point between 10th July and 31st July.
A quantity of cash was stolen from the home, including 16 Australian Dollar commemorative coins from 1967. These coins are rare and can be worth up to £3,000 each.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been offered these coins for sale or who may have seen them for sale online over the last few weeks.

No it does not. It makes the news because scum of the earth think its OK to rob people. There are stories like this regularly appearing in the news for the Isle of Wight now, regardless of money involved. You have no right to make that kind of comment. Shame on you.

Of course it is not right for people to steal, the fact is that whether it is much that has been taken or a small amount, it still makes one feel angry, upset but above all unsafe. Your home does not the feel the same after a break in. The scum are very rarely found.
