A Christmas Pawty for Dachshunds and their owners is being organised at The Star Coffee and Ale House in Ryde in aid of The Red Foundation, Dachshund Rescue on 15th December, from 10:30 to 16:00.
At least 30, but hopefully more, Dachshunds will be coming together to enjoy a day of fun.
Some of the activities will include presents from Santa Paws for each dachshund with photo opportunities, Puppaccinos, and a raffle with prizes donated from national pet suppliers and local businesses.
There will also be a quiz (about Dachshunds) with prizes and a best dressed dog competition with a choice of fancy dress or Christmas jumpers.
It is hoped that the event will not only raise much needed money for The Red Foundation, but also raise awareness of this charity in the current financial climate, where people are struggling to feed and insure their Dachshunds and finding that they are having to turn to charities to help.
