The Chair of the Isle of Wight Council, Claire Critchison, took part in Children in Need events at Shanklin’s Voluntary Youth and Community Centre last week, along with around 160 members of the well-respected youth centre, known to members as TC’s. Voluntary Leader Mark Biddlecombe said:
“It was a really busy night, and we appreciated Claire popping in and supporting the event – Children in Need night is one of the highlights of the year.”
Claire said:
“It was great to see this opportunity for young people still being offered, and I think TC’s stands for Totally Committed – because all of the volunteers really do make a difference.”
The evening saw a Cat and Mouse activity, a 2-hour disco culminating in Sweet Caroline, and fundraising refreshments provided by the volunteers.
