KFC may be keeping their drive-thru lanes shut for the time being, but chicken lovers will be happy to know that Sam’s Chicken in Ryde has now re-opened.
The takeaway, situated on Union Street, has opened its doors for the first time in weeks.
Islanders can order their food via the Just Eat or Go Eats apps, or by calling 01983 615354. Contact-free delivery is being offered and collection is also available – but customers cannot eat-in.
The store will be open from 17:00 to 22:00 every day of the week.

Moi why do people have to be ‘obese’ for people to enjoy some fryed chicken? Myself and my family who are far from ‘obese’ and enjoy a i nice bit of fryed chicken. Maybe you should try it 1 day. It’s rather nice.
Got to agree I love fried chicken, and I’m not overweight. Having said that I ate here once last year, it was average at best and I have no plans to go back. Couldn’t care less about this much better take aways about.

Hey I like Fried Chicken and I am sure not obese, far from it. Statistically though, I have no doubt that a good percentage of any fast food lovers are obese or overweight at the very least.

I won’t be using either places mentioned, i prefer the hand made home cooked fried chicken from my own kitchen. It works out a lot cheaper and far more tasty. But then … those that want to frequent those places, it is their choice.

maybe the garden centre that was forced to close can sell there stuff by click and collect from the chicken shop….. does anyone else get unusually high amount of lost parcels with hermes on the island, parcels might be being stolen to feed a drug problem..
Hang on, isn’t “Collection available” not on, seeing as the garden centres were offering the same click and collect type service…… can’t see how a chicken meal is more important than letting people do some work in there own gardens. Is this chicken place run by the council????????
Give it a rest if people want to go and get a takeaway that’s fine regardless if they’re fat or not it’s nothing to do with anyone else, this lockdown has really proven that people stick there noses where they are really not welcome. F off comes to mind.
