Young people’s charity Challenge & Adventure are holding a Garden Fair in the grounds of Barton Manor on Sunday 29th May.
This beautiful, privately owned manor only opens its grounds and traditionally restored outbuildings a few times a year to raise money for the Newport-based charity. This is the first of 2 events that Challenge & Adventure are organising at Barton Manor in 2016 and it looks set to be a great day.
There will be live music from Dave B; Afton; Wight Ukers; Isle of Wight Youth Band and Second Time Around, alongside dancing from Lanestars School of Dance.
Visitors will be able to walk the gardens including the picturesque lake populated with carp, ducks and geese. White Falconry will be flying their birds of prey throughout the day and the Isle of Wight Austin Car Club will be on display. There will be over 40 stalls selling garden plants, fresh produce, Isle of Wight products, craft and gifts, and much more.
Vectis Sunrise Rotary will be running the BBQ and the café will be serving cream teas, sandwiches and homemade cakes.
Doors open at 10:00 until 16:00. Entrance is £5, £4 concession and children under 14 go free.
This will be the third year that Challenge & Adventure have been lucky enough to hold events at Barton Manor. To date these events have raised over £18,000 for the young people’s charity.
