Hampshire Constabulary are continuing investigations into an assault which took place at the beginning of July that left a local man with a fractured skull.
The incident happened between 19:40 and 20:15 on Saturday 7th July outside Hong Kong Express on Holyrood Street in Newport.
The 29 year-old male victim was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital where it was confirmed he had sustained a fracture to his skull. He was kept in for 48 hours.
