CARISBROOKE TO BE ADDED TO NEWPORT PARISH COUNCIL NAME

The go ahead has been given for the addition of Carisbrooke to the name of Newport Parish Council.

The Full Council agreed the title change on Wednesday evening following an initial request from Newport Parish Council to change its name to Newport and Carisbrooke Parish Council.

The change will not affect any other aspect of the running of Newport Parish Council – and all existing wards and elected members will remain as they are.
