The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is holding a ‘Careers & Cookies’ event next Friday (20th May) to allow students the opportunity to meet staff from the Trust in a relaxed environment and discover what they do and what job opportunities are available.
There will be hands-on displays from a wide range of disciplines, and representatives from many areas of the Trust’s work will be present to offer advice and information. The areas represented include:
• Nursing Specialities
• Occupational Therapy
• Physiotherapy
• Theatres
• Ambulance
• Human Resources
• Education
…..and there will be cookies and cake!
Alan Sheward, Executive Director of Nursing said:
“This event is part of our organisation-wide commitment to bring more people into our workforce. It’s never too soon to think about your career with the NHS on the Isle of Wight. There is so much opportunity available to students and we want to attract young people to stay and have an interesting and worthwhile career”.
The free event is being held between 14:00-16:00 on Friday 20th May, at the Education Centre at St Mary’s Hospital. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up.
The event coincides with the Trust’s Mental Health Fete celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week and the importance of good relationships.
