Newport captain Ryan Oatley has left the County Town club to join Wessex Premier Cowes Sports.
In between spells for Newport, Ryan has also played in the Southern League for AFC Totton and Blackfield & Langley.
Cowes Sports have said:
“We are delighted to welcome Ryan Oatley to Westwood.
“A player that’s played the level and will command respect on any pitch.
“This is another statement for our developing side and shows the club are moving in the right direction: His experience will be vital in pushing our young squad forward.”
COWES SPORTS ANNOUNCE SIGNING OF GEORGE COLSON
Defender Colson has become the 6th player to leave Newport for Cowes Sports over recent days.
George began his career with Portsmouth before playing for Dorchester Town, Bashley, Fareham Town and Salisbury.
Despite having been born in Cowes, George has represented Wales at U-16 level.

“George is happy to be part of the clubs next chapter and cannot wait to get going.”

5 MEMBERS OF NEWPORT’S SQUAD SIGN UP FOR FORTHCOMING SEASON
5 players have stated their intention to remain with the County Town for the 2023/24 season.
The 5 players have who have opted to keep faith with Newport IW FC are: goalkeeper Leon Pitman, strikers Joe Butcher and Jordan Browne, and defenders Spike Pearce and Martin McDonough.
The Port have also confirmed that Gary Streeter will resume his position as Assistant Manager to Steve Brougham this coming season. He will be joined by Andy ‘Pud’ North, who will also be stepping into the management team.
To date, 10 1st team regulars have left Newport: Connor Kelly, Scott Barron, Liam Triggs, Joe Hancott, Ryan Oatley and George Colson (to Cowes Sports), with Jordan Chapman, Jacob Reynolds, Rafferty Boyd-Kerr and Ji Nash opting to join East Cowes Vics.
The Port have stated they will announce further signings (or re-signings) over the coming days.
