Cameo of Cowes is to close its doors later this year after more than 45 years of trading, it has been confirmed.
The shop, situated on Bath Road, sells unclaimed lost property, fancy dress and all manner of curiosities.
Cameo of Cowes was opened in the town back in 1985 after being set up in Southampton some 13 years previously.
Joan Holland, Proprietor of Cameo has said:
“Due to old age & health problems, I will have to make this the final year of trading for Cameo of Cowes.
“We are hoping to clear most of our ‘mountains’ of stock by the end of August so don’t miss out on all the bargains.
“Thank you all for your loyal custom over the years”.
