Dominic Marsh represented the Isle of Wight Panther Kickboxing Club at the Austrian Full Contact Kick-Boxing Championship at the weekend (18th/19th March).
21-year-old Dominic won his 1st fight against a Switzerland National team fighter by a unanimous 3-0 decision. He then went on to face a Spanish kickboxer – who is ranked number 2 in the world – and fought courageously but unfortunately lost.
The Isle of Wight-based kickboxer finished the championship in 3rd, taking the bronze medal.
The Isle of Wight Panther Kickboxing Club have said:
“Dominic knew (his fight against the World No. 2) would be his biggest test yet, as he was one of the best in the world, not just in the category but for the category above too. Dom lost this fight but has learnt lots to take away and work on.
“He’s super-excited to bring home his 1st medal at an international tournament and also his 1st win abroad.”
Next up for Dominic is competing with team GB in Birmingham before attending the World Cup championships in Istanbul, Turkey.

Well done Dom makes it worth all the hard work
